Now, if you haven’t heard of Eric Hecker, don’t worry. Almost nobody has, and therein lies, perhaps, most of the problem. A self-described plumber and “getaway driver,” Eric’s journey began in earnest when he took a once-in-a-lifetime job in the post-2008 economic downturn.

Before that, he was just your usual self-employed plumbing and heating repairman on Long Island. Just an ordinary bloke with a clientele “a bit on the special side” who also happened to be “owners and operators of, some have said, military-industrial complex corporations.”
