If they grow that fast, I think the embalmers would have already seen that. But as implied, maybe formaldehyde keeps them at bay. This is all just so ickky, but I do not doubt that the growing effect described is quite possible.

Rather than presenting this alleged new phenomenon as an embellished horror story why not do some real scientific analysis, present a credible report on the findings and let the results be known.
I'm no scientist, but my understanding is that such analyses are ongoing and they're finding all kinds of strange things that were called looney just some short years ago...

Could someone alert Karen Kingston to this piece by Eccentrik and to the 4chan post it discusses? The 4chan poster has said that the white fibrous stuff grows, has turned a tree white, and thus has destroyed the plant’s ability to utilize photosynthesis.
